We came across an animation in 2019, titled “God’s Way/The Prophet’s” on the Visual Story Network website. We reached out to the author to obtain permission for translating it into the Mandinka language.
We received a reply from Chris, representing Hayat Afdal, who referred us to the original creator, Create International. We promptly reached out to Create International and received a response from Calvin Conkey.
Few days later, we received the script, and we translated and recorded the voiceover in Mandinka, Fula Kunda, and Fula Jalon languages in 2019.
November last year, the animation was uploaded to our TikTok channel, with over 20,000 views from the Mandinka, 2000 views from Fula and 3100 views from Fula Jalon respectively.
