Harvest

Can you picture the distress of a farmer when he sees his fields ripe for harvest, and there are no servants to gather that harvest in? Such is an agony that filled the heart of Jesus as He looked out on His harvest field.

Harvest that is not brought in at exactly the right time will fail to fulfill its purpose and waste all the effort and resources that went into producing it.

As we celebrate Easter, the call to preach the gospel of the kingdom throughout the whole world still stands:

  • We must continue praying to the God of the harvest to send out labourers to the field.
  • We must send and support those who are willing to go.

If you examine the map, you will notice the following:

  • North Bank Region of The Gambia is divided into 6 districts.
  • Kerewan is the headquarters of North Bank Region which is located in Lower baddibu.
  • There is no church or Christian witness residing in entire Lower Badibbu.
  • Ther are 9 villages in Lower Badibbu: Suwareh Kunda, Darouslami, Njawara, Toroba, Mbamori Kunda, Kere Ado, Kintehkunta, Saba and Kerewan.
  • The last home church recorded in entire Lower Baddibu dated 22 years back in Kerewan until our arrival 3 years back.
  • Lower Badibbu is dominated by the Manddinka tribe.
  • The situation in Lower Baddibu is similar to Central Baddibu.
